Gatamboya AA is sourced from a collection of family owned farms in Nyeri County surrounding the Gatamboya wet mill. Each of these farms grows and harvests their coffee cherry before bringing it to the mill to be processed. Kenyan coffees are known for their clean, juicy, vibrant flavours. This is contributed by a culmination of factors: climate, terroir, geography, variety, and unique processing. Kenyan “double wash” soaks the cherry for a second time after the first initial wash & fermentation. This is typical of Kenyan coffees, and is said to be a key contributor to the amazing crisp, clean flavours we associate with Kenyan coffee.
