Kirinyaga AA is bright, juicy, full of red fruit, balanced, and clean. It comes from the Getuya Coffee Factory, operated by the Mwirua Farmers Cooperative Society founded in 1964. Getuya Coffee Factory receives cherry from 900 contributing producers who grow their coffee on small (1/5 of a hectare) farmland in the surrounding area. Once the ripe cherry is delivered to the factory, it is immediately sorted, de-pulped, and then fermented underwater for 15-24 hours, washed three times, and then left on metal drying tables for 6-7 days to dry.
